North China / Mongolia Tour 05/28/2002 - 08/05/2002

A tour through some parts of North China into Mongolia and accross the Gobi desert. The tour starts in Beijing, travels north out of Beijing through Hebei province and finally into Inner Mongolia. Then it crosses the border into Mongolia at Erene Hot. Once inside Mongolia it travels north to the capital of Ulaan Baatar, then west into the mountains and lakes before dipping south in to the Gobi. The route travels back to the Mongolian/Chinese border at Erene Hot traversing the Gobi desert in the South of Mongolia before eventually ending in Bejing where it started more than two months before.
